Translating the Street (2019) is an artist residency with Alternator Studios. Artists are situated within the businesses and community of Oxton Road, Birkenhead to explore and discover, to 'translate' the street with their specific practices. I worked with kids at Wirral Hive Youth Zone to make these portraits. We took them into Birkenhead, rephotographing them at sites that are important to the identity of the area.
